WEHRMACHT M 35 HELMET
The double decal m35 helmet of the Wehrmacht is just like the other M35 models, some little oval in shape and the curled metal edge around the base of the helmet. The M35 has normally always a double decal, the eagle on the left side and the National color on the right side!
From 1940 till 1943 there where no more National colors placed on the helmet, so only the eagle was placed on the left side! This helmet type was the M40. Beginning 1943, there where no more decals placed on the helmets, this type was the M42!
The M35 is the more rarest of the three types and the most wanted by collectors, so the most expensive one!
The following helmet decals are from M35, M40 and M42 helmets. There are five different Wehrmacht helmet decals and they are very difficult to recognize, because there is only a small difference from the one to another!
It is always good or even a must to contact a specialist in German Militaria (Helmets) before purchasing an expensive helmet!
