GERMAN RED CROSS EM DAGGER

The Red Cross EM dagger is a very special dagger because of his blade.

The pommel, crossguard and scabbard fittings are either silver plate or dull nickel depending upon the production period. The crossguard has two oval designs, which shows on the obverse the Red Cross eagle with on his breast the swastika and in his talons the emblem of the Red Cross. The grip exists of two different plastic grips; the obverse one checkered while the reverse one is smooth. The most prominent feature on this dagger is the massive saw tooth blade, with the point shaped like a screwdriver. The steel scabbard is painted glossy black, sometimes like a very dark blue. This dagger has no motto on the blade. The dagger is 40 cm in length and can be found with a black leather ( sometimes brown) bayonet type frog. The blade of this dagger has never a maker mark, but can have a  “Ges Gesch” mark. It is also possible to find under the grips the initials of the factory.
